I have been meaning to bake these cookies for a long time. I had them in Chocolate Royal Lagos and Paul Patisserie. They were buttery, amazing and moderately sweet. I decided to make them half the size than the regular. I used puff pastry which is the most time consuming pastry to work with (as far as I am concerned). It requires a lot of turning, rolling and refrigerating before you can get the pastry to the required state. I patiently made the pastry, folded it and baked them. The end result was definitely worth the wait. They were flaky, sweet and tasty. Some people think they look like elephant ears, butterflies and the shape of a heart. I think they look like ears.
